Dates: August 20-30, 2026
August 19- Depart US for Glasgow
Day 1: August 20 – Arrive into Glasgow Airport – take the Airport Bus to Grand Central Station. You will be left off across the street from the hotel. OR grab a taxi. Make your way over to the lobby and check-in. You will be met there by myself and our guide. If you are up for it, let’s do a walking tour to get your bearings into the city. We will end the day at a local restaurant for a fabulous welcome dinner. (Glasgow)
Day 2:. August 21 – .A full day in the city of Glasgow. Take a trip on the Hop-on/Hop off bus, take a cycle ride along the Clyde River, or just enjoy a fun day out shopping along Suchiehall Street and/or Buchannan Street. The day is yours to enjoy. Dinner on your own this evening. (Glasgow) Our guide is available to you today as well.
Day 3: August 22 – We venture out today! Let’s take the train to Edinburgh. You will have the day to explore the Capital city on your own. Let’s meet up for a fun dinner, (not included) then head out to a vault tour, before we go back to our hotel for the evening. (Glasgow)
Day 4: August 23 – Let’s enjoy a fun day out to the Isle of Butte. We will be taking different forms of transportation today. First, we make our way to the River Clyde, where we catch The Waverly, the last sea-going steam boat. We will spend time on the water, as we make our way to the isle. Once on the island, we can catch the bus to visit Mount Stuart, then back to the main street to enjoy time at the Bute Yard, Rothsey Castle and/or just time walking around the city. Once we have finished our visit, we catch the ferry to Wymess Bay, then take the train back to Glasgow for the evening. Dinner on your own tonight. (Glasgow)
Day 5: August 24 – I would like to venture out to someplace I have not been yet. The Pollock House to visit the Highland Cows and how about we throw in another visit to the Burrell Collection. I’ll determine how we will get there, then let you know! Dinner on your own (Glasgow)
Day 6: August 25 – Today, we will be checking out of our hotel and catching the train to Angus. It’s a leisurely day, as we take the 2 hour train ride to the fun town of Pitlochry. Our coach will meet us in Pitlochry and transport us to the hotel. But first, it’s a two minute walk to the coach parking where we can load our bags into the coach, then we can enjoy time in the town to shop and grab some lunch. Dinner included at the hotel
Day 7: August 26 – Today is a day of fun. We will be making a visit to Peel Farm, where you can check out the farm animals, hear all about farming in Angus. Try out some delicious local spirits with some possible foraging. Time for coffee and yummy treats! We will also visit Glamis Castle. This fairytale castle is the childhood home of the Late Queen Mother and the birthplace of her daughter Princess Margaret. We then stop in at the Gin Bothy, where you will have a chance to taste and purchase some lovely gin. From here we visit the quaint village of Kirremuir, onto Arbroath and Dundee before we end back at our hotel for the evening. Dinner included at the hotel
Day 8: August 27 – Today, we will stop in at Iain Burnett Highland Chocolatier (10am) for a lovely chocolate tasting with tea/coffee. Enjoy some time in the shop before we make our way to the West Coast. Stops TBD We will stay overnight in the town of Oban for the next two nights. Dinner on your own
Day 9: August 28 – Let’s head onto the island of Mull today! We will catch the early ferry. We walk onto the ferry as the coach drives on and meets us on the other side. We will stop in at Duart Castle for some morning coffee and yums. Then we are off to the island of Iona, where you can take some time to explore and grab yourself some lunch. We land back on Mull and catch the late ferry back to Oban and our hotel. Dinner on our own.
Day 10: August 29 – It’s back to Glasgow for the evening. We will figure out our visits along the way. Dinner will be on us tonight! It’s our last night in Scotland, so we will have a wonderful farewell dinner planned for you tonight.
Day 11: August 30 – We are staying right at the airport, you can walk to the terminal for your return flight home. Safe Travels! Haste Ye Back
