Day 1 –
Arrive into Edinburgh Airport and make your way to the hotel. (OR we will pick up and have a tour of Rosslyn Chapel prior to arriving at hotel) Welcome Dinner included
Day 2 –
We give you the day on your own in Edinburgh. Breakfast is included at the hotel. We will be going to the Tattoo this evening. Dinner not included (but we can set up group reservations somewhere if interested). Back to the hotel for the evening.
Day 3 –
After breakfast, we begin our journey north today. We make a stop in Fife to visit Fillan’s Cave, near the village of Pittenween. After a fun visit here, we head on toward Aberdeenshire, where we will spend the next two nights. Dinner included at the hotel.
Day 4 –
Enjoy a lovely breakfast, then let’s take a day to visit the Royal Deeside. Enjoy some time at Glams Castle and the Gin Bothy as well as other interesting visits. Back to the hotel for dinner, which will be included.
Day 5 –
Grab an early breakfast before It’s time to head into the Highlands today. We leave Aberdeenshire and make our way north to Inverness. How about stopping at Cruden Bay to check out Slains Castle ( known as one of the inspirations for Bram Stoker’s Dracula). Possible visit to Walkers factory store. We will then make our way through Huntly, Forress and Nairn before we end the evening at our city center hotel. Dinner included at the hotel this evening.
Day 6 –
It’s the driver’s day off. Let’s take the day to explore the city of Inverness. As always, breakfast is included at the hotel. You will have a free day to enjoy the city on your own. Dinner is on your own tonight, but if you like, we can make reservations at our favorite nightclub, Johnny Foxes and enjoy a great evening out.
Day 7 –
It’s the day you’ve all been waiting for! After breakfast, we head out to visit Golspie/Brora in Sutherland. Visits to include, but in no exact order..The Clynelish Distillery, Brora Heritage Museum, the Village of Golspie, Carn Laith, DUNROBIN CASTLE with Falconry Show, and a possible stopover for dinner at The Trawlers Fish & Chips shop (not included in cost), before we land back at the hotel for the evening.
Day 8 –
Don’t forget to grab a lovely breakfast. Now it’s time to head back to the Central Belt. After a morning visit to Culloden Battlefield, we will drive along Loch Ness where we will possibly take the cruise (keep an eye out for Nessie!) from Drumnadrochit to Urquhart Castle. The coach will meet us there after our visit. We then head to Fort Augustus before we make our way to Stirling for the evening. Dinner included at the hotel.
Day 9 –
Breakfast comes first, before we spend time at Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument. From here we will head to Falkirk, where we will spend time at the Falkirk Wheel, the Kelpies and Rosebank Distillery. It’s then back to Stirling for the evening. Dinner will be on your own tonight.
Day 10 –
After breakfast, how about a day out in Glasgow today. We will take you there, give you a city tour, then set you free to explore on your own. Enjoy your time in my favorite city! Dinner on your own in the city. Back to Stirling for the evening.
Day 11 –
We all knew this day had to come. We might be able to arrange an early breakfast before we transfer you back to Edinburgh airport for your return flight to the US. Thank you for coming along with me! Safe travels and Haste Ye Back!
